Hilton Garden Inn of Grand Rapids, Courtyard by Marriott in Holland Earn National Awards

Two West Michigan hotels owned and operated by Suburban Inns have earned awards from their respective national brands.

The Hilton Garden Inn on the East Beltline in Grand Rapids earned Hilton’s Hotel Success Award, meaning it is in the top 5% in the brand for customer service satisfaction ratings. General Manager Nick Haughton received the General Manager Merit Award, which recognizes outstanding personal and hotel performance. Haughton was one of four general managers out of 716 Hilton Garden Inn hotels to earn this distinction.

The Courtyard by Marriott on 8th Street in downtown Holland received the Diamond Circle Award from Marriott, which also recognizes hotels that are in the top 5% in the brand. The hotel also earned the Chairman’s Award, which only goes to one hotel that had the highest customer satisfaction rating of all Courtyard brand hotels. General Manager Grant Hirst was named Marriott’s Diamond General Manager of the Year, which recognizes operational and hospitality leadership excellence. Out of 1,070 Courtyard by Marriott hotels, Hirst was one of only six general managers to receive this award.

In addition, the Courtyard by Marriott in Holland earned several other awards recognizing excellence in the brand, including Overall Satisfaction, Room Cleanliness, Staff Service, and Arrival Experience.
